They are looking to hire a highly motivated team player that is able to take charge of the MOT inspections in-line with DVSA standards. You will be working in a fast-paced environment on almost every brand of car which will mean that every day is different. You will be a self-motivated person capable of rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in with the rest of the team and help your colleagues out where possible.

As the role is heavily customer-facing you must have the ability to put a customer at ease by providing outstanding customer service at all times.

You will need to conduct Vehicle Inspections in accordance with Vehicle Inspectorates procedures. Identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards. Complete client documentation and maintain the VTS in accordance with DVSA standards. Perform general mechanical repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.

The MOT Tester should also have the following experience and qualifications:

* Active, clean, DVSA License & detailed knowledge on current MOT standards
* You should have your own your own tools (desirable)
* The ability to interact with our customers effectively as your customers can feel stressed
* Full UK Driving License
* Act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your own work
* Behave in accordance with our client’s core values and principles, and treat people with respect and courtesy at all times
* The willingness to continuously learn and be able to improve your performance.

This role is based within a fantastic special needs college based in the Cheadle-Hulme borough of Stockport, catering for students between the ages of 19 and 25 with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

As a support worker, you will:
– assist staff with the moving and handling of pupils
– engage in activities such as art and media
– support students in the use of services such as rebound therapy and sensory rooms

This role is perfect for someone with:
– Experience with physical disabilities such as working with the elderly
– Experience with learning disabilities such as Autism and Downs Syndrome
– Experience with Autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and so on
– Experience and confidence with personal care

Dual Fuel Meter Installer

One of the UK’s leading independant metering contractors is now seeking to expand their network of dual fuel meter installers.

This position is a straight to permanent position, so no requirement to work via an agency as a temporary worker or contractor.

Additional earnings available via call out and an attractive, bonus scheme

The Candidate:

You will have to meet the following criteria, to be suitable for this position:

1) Gas Meter Qualified (ACS or Smart Meter Diploma)

2) Electric Meter MOCOPA Qualified

3) Be prepared to work outside of your local postal code area if required (Neighbouring postal codes)

4) Work evenings, weekends on call (1 in 4 between 12pm and 9pm) with a Bonus paid for all jobs on top of the basic annual salary.

5) Be seeking a permanent career opportunity.

6) Be prepared to be vetted via a Criminal Record Check

7) Have a maximum of SIX penalty points on your driving license

8) Be prepared to drive a van that has a tracker fitted

9) Be prepared to take additional ongoing training in metering

10) Be prepared to attend a Health and Safety Induction, which may be outside of your local area and involve overnight stays (accommodation expenses covered).

This is a permanent position
a) Basic annual salary is £25,000 (negotiable to £28,000 on experience)
b) On Target Earnings of over £35,000 per annum via a very attractive Bonus Scheme of £30 per dual fit after 30 meters (15 duals) per week.
c) 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
d) Permanent means no requirement to work through a temporary agency or be paid via an umbrella payment company.
e) You will be supplied with a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Phone, Tools, PPE and Phone
