Takes ownership for enhancing the customer experience and impacts sales of devices during peak hours.

* Expertise –
Maintain current knowledge of all hardware, product features, benefits, and product availability.

* Your Feedback
Collect and report visit data, as well as, competitive data in electronic call reports.
Your feedback is reviewed by the client and is very valuable your input may actually influence decisions made by the manufacturer.

* The Schedule
This is a part-time position; Friday 5pm 9pm; Saturday and Sunday 11am 8pm.
Must be able to work this schedule from October 20^th to December 30^th.
* Pay and Incentives
Hourly pay around $20/hr.
PLUS performance incentives.
PLUS a PC/Tablet to keep for successful completion of the program

Blue Diamond Growers (BDG) is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team.

Under the guidance of the Corporate QA Manager, this individual is responsible for maintaining documentation associated with Blue Diamond Growers Food Safety and Food Quality programs. The QA Coordinator provides support to Quality Assurance and Sales relating to specifications, certificates and other supporting documents.

Responsibilities:
* Responds to QA documentation requests from Sales and Industrial customers, including but not limited to HACCP, certificates, nutritional and allergen statements, specifications, GMO/MSDS statements, quality and food safety surveys, etc. Assists in maintaining customer files.
* Runs statistical reports on Quality Control data from BDG systems as directed by QA Manager and to support Sales/Marketing requirements for information.Provides routine reports on the status of the Program.
* Maintains specification database, including review of customer specifications and upload of supporting documents into document control system.Drafts and revises product specifications as directed.
* Maintains Quality Assurance documentation as required in on-line third party systems including iCiX, Qadex, TraceGains and others as directed.
* Maintains and supports Blue Diamonds quality objectives and goals.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor including Quality Assurance and Food Safety internal audits as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum level of education required
* B.S. or B.A. degree required; Science related field, preferred

Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience
* Minimum of one (1) year related experience required; documentation management, customer service and QA experience preferred.

Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g. Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)
* Understanding of QA systems preferred.
* Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
* Work consists of a variety of tasks requiring independent judgment and problem solving skills.
* Must have ability to work independently and with limited instructions.
* Able to read and follow written and verbal guidelines/procedures.
* Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have advanced computer skills including Windows and MS Office products.
* The position requires the ability to define problems, evaluate potential solutions and provide recommendations for approval.
* Must also be able to learn BDG systems including QA database, SAP, etc.
* Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position.

Professional Responsibilities:

The Director, Engineering is a key leadership role on the Global Manufacturing Operations leadership team with responsibility for developing strategic and tactical plans to sustain and continuously improve the Engineering, Maintenance, and Strategic Projects functions across all Blue Diamond Growers operations. This is a newly expanded role to support BDGs continued growth and expansion. The role has functional responsibility for BDGs three California production facilities in Sacramento, Salida, and Turlock in addition to the corporate entity based in Sacramento. The Director, Engineering will collaborate with Business Units, cross-functional departments as well as cross-site teams ensuring proper implementation of projects, maintenance, training, and processes while delivering Safety, Quality, Service, Performance, and People expectations.

The Director, Engineering will collaborate with the Senior Vice President, Global Manufacturing Operations to develop corporate strategies within the Engineering function. Together, the Global Manufacturing Operations leadership team will continue to conceptualize and drive key initiatives which support business growth and enable improved cost efficiency, product quality, food safety and employee safety. In this same vein the Director Engineering will drive and improve the functional and leadership capabilities within Engineering and Maintenance. This executive will also lead the group that delivers Strategic Projects.

Specifically, the Director, Engineering will:

Develop, communicate and implement a highly effective organization for Engineering, Maintenance, and Strategic Projects using both internal and external resources.

Oversee annual capex budget of $30MM-$50MM to insure effective and efficient spend and maximize overall asset utilization for Global Manufacturing Operations.

Lead corporate and site master planning across 5-year strategic planning horizons to ensure future business needs are planned and delivered.

Drive continuous improvement across maintenance and facilities and implement best practices to ensure Safety, Quality, Service, Performance and People expectations are achieved.

Establish Project Management discipline and capabilities that ensure strategic capital projects are on time, within budget and deliver the expected results.

Develop and execute Engineering standards that drive continuous improvement and consistency across the organization.

Manage and mentor both direct and indirect reports in a matrixed organization.

Participate on cross-functional teams to provide Engineering representation in the context of overall business enhancements.

Ensure policies, programs, and practices at BDG comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards concerning Engineering, Maintenance, and Strategic Projects.

What does success look like after the first year?

The Director, Engineering will be:

Integrated in to the business and viewed as a credible leader on the Manufacturing Operations team by all levels of the organization, including front-line team members, division SVPs, CEO and Board of Directors.

Inspiring confidence across functions by delivering sound comprehensive engineering investment strategies.

Leading a strong and disciplined team including direct, indirect and external resources.

Delivering a 5-year master plan to include common practices across all sites.

III. Location and Key Relationships:

The Director, Engineering is located in Sacramento, California and will report to the SVP, Global Manufacturing Operations.

This leader provides direct functional leadership for 2 to 3 Project Managers as well as indirect functional leadership for 3Plant Engineering Managers.The Director Engineering will also source, manage and optimize external engineering resources.

The Director, Engineering will consistently interact with the following internal contacts: SVPs / Directors / Managers within the Global Ingredients and Consumer divisions as well as Finance, IT, HR and Supply Chain.

IV. Professional Qualifications:

The following experiences and/or qualifications are required:

Minimum of 15 years of progressive Engineering leadership experience in a CPG company.

Additional cross-functional experience in operations.

Demonstrated success driving Engineering, Maintenance, and Strategic Projects results from both corporate staff as well as the operations site level.

Strong leader with high interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.Advanced facilitation and communication skills with demonstrated ability to be strategic in thought and ability to implement the plan

Bachelors degree in Business, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or related business field.

Experience in an organization going through rapid growth or dramatic transformation.Proven track record of delivering superior business results in a fast-moving business environment.

Strong technical leadership background with demonstrated success in leading and developing technical capabilities within an organization.

The following qualifications are desired, but not required:

Experience in a food manufacturing company.

Experience leading Engineering strategies for multiple sites.

Experience working in a global business.

Advanced degree.
