Primary Teacher

Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a QS who has preferably a construction engineering background who is pro-active in their approach, working on a hands on basis who is able to take control of the contract completing the admin tasks working from both site at the airport and the office at Leicester.

1) Ability to review client contracts (NEC3 option A, C, E), ensure compliance to them
2) Ability to identify and manage project risks
3) Ability to identify and manage project changes
4) Ability to create commercial contracts with supply chain
5) Ability to work as a key member of our project delivery team
6) Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be a good team player
7) Must hold a current CSCS Card UK travel (expectation of site visits on a regular basis)

To deliver accurate valuation of project works including variations/compensation events together with reporting of costs in connection with the Project Manager and team. Advise and communicate the contractual requirements of NEC3 Contracts to Project team.

Quality Indpector

Job Title Quality Inspector

Location South Wigston

Salary £14.10 per hour

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Quality Inspector in South Wigston. The role will involve carrying out first off inspections, ensure that the parts are in line with customer requirements and maintain OPC to ensure that parts are complying to method spec. The position will be on a two shift pattern and the rate of pay is £14.10/hr.

Main Duties

· Carry out first off inspections, ensuring that the part is machined to correct standard before manufacturing continues

· Maintain OPC and sample inspection’s to ensure that parts are complying to method spec

· Complete receipt inspection where required (validation of parts returning from sub contract locations)

· Complete conventional and CMM inspection work as an independent over check for parts

· Understand Engineering drawings for the purpose of inspection

· Complete visual inspection of parts during the inspection process.

· Generation of Non conformance paperwork as applicable.

· Undertake Airflow Inspection tasks as required

The Candidate

The right candidate will have a strong engineering background and previous quality inspection experience. The candidate must be able to complete conventional and CMM inspection work, understand engineering drawings and complete visual inspection of parts during the inspection process.

Skills Requirement

· Experience of inspecting to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment

· Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing Company, with demanding targets

· A solid understanding of engineering drawings and method specifications

· A reasonable degree of computer literacy, with basic excel experience

· An understanding or ability to use SAP would be an advantageous

· Ability to use conventional inspection equipment

· Ability to use CMM machines

· Ability to work on their own initiative but also have good interpersonal and team working skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and pride in work
